I truly feel that pets make the world a better place to live and allow us to know unconditional love. For this invaluable gift that they give to us, I feel my purpose in life is the constant pursuit of returning the favor. I was born in New York, but I have spent the majority of my life in and around Central Florida. I received my veterinary degree from St. Matthews University and completed my clinical education at North Carolina State University.
As medicine never stands still, I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of continuing education. I hold certifications in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture, Low Stress Animal Handling, the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates, and am a Fear Free Certified Professional. I am a proud member of the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, and the Central Florida Veterinary Medical Association. I love most aspects of veterinary medicine, and have a special interest in companion animal behavior medicine, preventative care, and the preservation of the all important Human/Animal Bond.
My family and I share our home with 3 cats, 10 year old bottle raised siblings Astrid and Odin, 6 year old Kitsune, 8 year old Boston Terrier Lotus, 8 year old Boxer mix Athena (who thinks she’s a Boston Terrier), and 2 year old French Bulldog Groot, who does not let his wheelchair slow him down.
As a veterinarian, I have served in the Central Florida area since 2012, and am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the Winter Park Veterinary Hospital family. I believe that being entrusted with the care of a furry (or not so furry) family member is a precious gift and the most important of responsibilities. I look forward to meeting you and your loved ones.
