Dr. Katherine Cardenas received her doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida. Her interests include exotics, wildlife, emergency, dentistry, public health and disaster response. She is a teaching assistant at the UF CVM Clinical Skills Lab and a Member of the Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service.
She has been an intern at Seaworld Orlando, where she performed physical exams, wound care and administered medications to wildlife, including manatees, chelonians and waterfowl. She has also volunteered for Operation Catnip where she performed exams and spay/neuter surgery for feral cats.
