Dr. Liz Andrade is originally from Ecuador, but has lived in the United States for most of her life. She grew up in Chicago and later Fort Myers. She is a proud Florida Gator having obtained both her Bachelor in Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. Shelter medicine, community involvement, and conservation have always been important to her. In veterinary school she pursued these interests by obtaining a certificate in Shelter Medicine and gaining experience with wildlife and exotics through various clubs and externships.
Upon graduation, Dr. Andrade completed a small animal rotating internship at a specialty clinic in Tallahassee while she continued working as an urgent care doctor. Dr. Andrade eventually moved to Orlando to be closer to her family and had the honor of working with Lap of Love where she provided in-home hospice care and euthanasia to families in need.
In her free time Dr. Andrade enjoys working on her house and spends time with her family. She enjoys backpacking, yoga, and reading. She currently resides in Winter Park with an unexpected addition to her family – her cat Gene who graciously decided to adopt her.
