Summer Updates
A few fun Summer Updates from Winter Park Vet!
WPVH has been the lead veterinary hospital for the Center for Birds of Prey (CBOP) in Maitland for over two decades. We continue to look for ways to support their mission. In fact, as a celebration of Pride Month, we are sponsoring their Rainbow Raptors event on Jun 17, 2023. We can’t wait to see you there. We’re also proud to help sponsor Audubon’s Baby Owl Shower in May. Baby season at the Center for Birds of Prey is always the busiest time of year for the amazing team in Maitland.
If you are interested in learning more about CBOP, go visit their amazing location on Lake Sybelia. It is a great way to spend an afternoon and support the birds of prey of Central Florida.
In other news, our Urgent Care Hours are going well and we have helped many WPVH pet parents avoid stressful trips to local emergency clinics. We plan to continue refining our processes and the experience at Urgent Care over the summer to better serve you and your pet family.
*While Urgent Care doesn’t see any exotic patients, we are open 7 days a week at the Main Hospital to service our exotic patients.

Winter Park Vet was happy to host Dr. Michal Rado, a veterinary surgeon from the Czech Republic. Dr. Rado lives and works in Brno, in the Czech Republic, and got a scholarship to come experience veterinary medicine in the United States. Fun fact, our hospital manager Billy Hess played and coached baseball in Brno in 2010. When he got the request from Dr. Rado to come shadow the team, he could only laugh and appreciate what a small world! Dr Rado had a great time and got lots of great experience to take back to his University Hospital in Brno.
Summer is here and we know you are looking forward to vacations and time together with family. Please remember to make your dog or cat boarding reservations early for the summer as we are already filling up! As always we will do everything possible to accommodate your furry family member.
The team here at Winter Park Vet wishes you and your pet family a healthy and happy summer!
