Dr. Kailyn Thomas grew up in Orlando and has always had a passion for animals whether they were furry, feathered or scaled.
It was while obtaining her B.S Degree with Honors in Biology from the University of Central Florida that she was a conservation volunteer in South Africa and her love for animals and veterinary medicine was solidified. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts. She then moved to Gainesville to complete her clinical year at the University of Florida and graduated in January of 2024.
During her time at Ross and UF she worked with a myriad of species and gained a wide variety of experience with animals from large to small. Her professional interests include exotic/wildlife medicine, ultrasonography, preventative care and acupuncture.
Dr. Thomas currently resides in Winter Park with her fiancé Jordan, her two dogs, Percy and Grover, two cats, Luna and Han Solo, and an assortment of reptiles and amphibians. In her free time she enjoys reading, fishing, kayaking, attending concerts and spending time with family and friends.
